If our government really wants to reduce the spending for the government then they should reduce the size of the government, claiming to reduce military spending, while taking that money and moving it to another account for some politicians to have more access to it for their own personal spending, isn't reducing any spending at all. All it is doing is just manipulating the system and keeping the spending the same and in some cases increasing the spending, and not getting it to where it should be going to.
Personally I think if we reduce the amount of Politicians we have in the government and their excessive salaries, that they have grown accustomed to, we will start to reduce our governments spending, then reduce the amount of the governments offices that they have running, most of which are not needed and there for the extra money flow to line the politicians pockets even further. Any of this would reduce some spending greatly without impacting our Military, and the country as a whole.
We should reform our tax practices and laws because we see the current one in place isn't working on generating any true revenue for the government. The government should really look at the Fair Tax proposal real seriously, and see what it truly has to offer. Under it, everyone will be paying taxes equally, and evenly, even the illegals that keep on coming in to our country by the thousands. The illegals come here and stay off the tax grid, which offsets the way our current tax laws work and creates a great deficit in our economy, and also puts our economy in peril.
Also reducing our Government, brings it down to a manageable size to begin to make the reduce spending proposals work truly for the government and the people of our country.
Also with the Fair Tax in place, everyone pays the same tax across the board, and the illegals that slip through the cracks in the current system get caught in the patches of the taxing, and have to finally pay their share of the taxes of our country, which in turn would generate more money for the government overall.
The reason the Democrats and some of the Republicans, the more liberal Republicans, that is. Is they can not control who has to pay what and when to pay it, being everyone will be paying their taxes equally each and every day, and going straight to the reserves without going into any politicians hands, to grease any palms. Also instituting the Fair Tax would eliminate the IRS, the politicians enforcers to make sure we have a way to pay the politicians salaries above and beyond what they should be making in the first place. I firmly believe a Politician should be able to support himself, without the American people being forced to pay extra money to them through our taxes. This is something almost all Politicians now have grown accustomed to, which should come to an end, thus further reduce our governments spending.
The Politicians from when our country was founded worked for themselves, and for others, making their own money, without the American people supporting them, and they did well for the country, why can't the Politicians we have today, follow their example, and support themselves? They can't, because they are afraid they can not survive on their own true salaries, and think they need to rape the American people of all the money they can get from them to live up on the high horse on.
Our Government was originally founded on the basis of protecting our Citizens Rights and beliefs, while keeping the Government small and controllable by the people, to whom the Politicians actually worked for and Represented what the people themselves wanted, and not imposing what they want the people to do because the Politicians thought they knew better, what the people need.
Our country has grown very complacent, and subservient to the whims of our current government, that they now risk losing all their rights and liberties, because they have grown accustomed to getting hand outs from the Government, and not having any true will to work for themselves and gain their own respect for themselves, which is a shame. I am one of the lucky few who still remain awake and aware of what is going on, and I will not be quiet any longer. I believe if you want something, you have to go out and get it for yourself, and not rely on the Government to either get it for you, or take care of you through welfare, if you are able to work, you should go forth and work, if not for yourself, then for your family, to give yourself and them some self respect, and quit being a government tool for Government control of the people at large.
It is now that the American people should wake up and see what is going on to them, and prevent it from happening, because if it happens it is the peoples fault for not taking action when they had the chance. I am not inciting people to riot, but I am challenging them to actually wake up and see what is going on around them for the first time in their lives.
What is more important to you, the American people? American Idol? Reality shows? Or, your freedom, and your rights? You need to choose what is more important to you and make that choice quick, or you risk loosing all.
I am only one man and one voice, but together we are many people with one voice, and together, we all can be heard.
